Yes, that is exactly what we have done with the Nullifire FS704 Fire Sealant.

Developing a product that has not only superior performance but also improved environmental properties is a challenge that we at Nullifire have tackled with our latest innovation, Nullifire FS704 Brandfog Hybrid. FS704 is a fire resistant sealant designed for sealing horizontal and vertical linear joints in buildings. What makes FS704 unique is its hybrid formula which is free of phthalates and passes both EC1+ and M1 certifications.

An important aspect to consider when developing construction products is their impact on the environment, and the choice of packaging plays a crucial role in this. To minimise packaging waste, we offer FS704 in 600 ml foil packs (sausages), which is a significant step towards reducing the environmental impact compared to traditional 310 ml cartridges.

Many of the fire retardant sealants on the market are based on silicone, a technology that has been dominant for a long time. With FS704, we endeavoured to offer our customers an environmentally friendly alternative without compromising on performance. In developing FS704, we chose not only a standard hybrid formula, but also one that uses phthalate-free plasticisers to further reduce our environmental impact.

We have a wide range of sealants and adhesives based on hybrid technology under the illbruck brand. However, FS704 is the first Nullifire Hybrid product to be launched from our research and development department. Despite our extensive expertise in hybrid technology from our R&D centre in Traunreut (Germany), we encountered challenges in meeting the fire protection requirements during the product development of the new FS704. After the final formulation was completed, the product underwent extensive testing at the CSTB in Paris to obtain its ETA certificate and thus be approved for sale in the European markets.

Our customer base consists of both distribution chains and contractors who value FS704 for its fireproof performance, environmentally friendly properties and certifications.
